I liked it but...(spoilers)

...I felt the drama of Rocky not having spoken to his son in years wasn't necessary and didn't really fit considering their interactions in Rocky Balboa. I was really glad to see Milo Ventimiglia reprise the role of Robert but I think it would've been better if Robert helped Rocky see why Adonis needed his support in the rematch.

What do you guys think of the Rocky/Robert relationship in this one?

I think it was a good way to end the entire series. After beating Drago, what more can Creed do? He's already the champ. This was the general consensus where Rocky IV should have been the last of the Rockys. This ending sequence signifies that Rocky is ready to retire from boxing altogether, and him having his family is a great ending point, as Adonis will continue on with his career.
However, with the movie business being as it is, I won't be surprised if there is another Creed movie, which would basically be another Rocky V. But I'm afraid another movie can only bring Rocky's demise (as Rocky III saw the death of Mickey). What else can a further storyline bring? Creed already fought the toughest fighter he'll ever fight.

Agreed...

What else can Creed do to outshine what he did in this film? Fight Clubber Lang's son next? If they saved the Drago's for last and did another film in between then it would've worked. Now that's gonna be a challenge unless Stallone comes up with a really good script

I agree. They played the Drago (unbeatable monster who will destroy the hero's life) card too soon.

I liked it actually. It makes sense as once Jr hit the teen period they have always had issues, mainly due to Robert. In 5 they feuded because Rocky was all about Tommy and he had to make up with Jr. 6 was all about Robert's angst and ended with Rocky telling him off and Robert straightening up.

This time it's all on Rocky because he wasn't comfortable with expressing himself and he admitted his imperfections. He has to man up with not just Robert but Adonis too. Rocky's just an imperfect person but that's why we love him.

In the first Creed, Rocky referred to the fact that his son was both physically and emotionally distant from him. I assumed that after the events of Rocky Balboa that his son decided that he needed to put space between them... the whole 'living in your shadow' thing of Rocky Balboa wasn't fully resolved.

That said, I like this take of yours. I guess the dilemma would be that it would steal the focus away from Adonis and put it back on Rocky which isn't what this current franchise is about.

In a similar vein, I did like that scene of Ivan Drago throwing in the towel for his son and the last shot of them running together. It humanized Drago somewhat... I also would have liked to see more of his complicated relationship with his son but, for the same reasons as above, this movie is called Creed and is about Adonis' journey.

The theme of this movie was very much about the complicated relationships between sons and fathers.

I really liked this aspect of it too!
