Arrogant knobhead.

Apollo was also arrogant, but he really had class, while Adonis character is build up as a ghetto jackass that is really hard to cheer during this one. Young Drago had some real drama behind him, while Adonis looked on his period 90 % of the movie. Very unlikeable.

He got away with it in Creed, but in this one he is really annoying from minute one.
He really seems like he doesn't care about Rocky, his rant before the first fight with Drago and dropping the "I take care of you when you had cancer", that really was out of line.

And that cringy moment when he came in Moscow, with his wife singing. Jeez, that was really hard to swallow. And the n word moment.

He's no Balboa, that is for sure. Not a true champ.

I like Adonis.

He's a guy who had to go through life without his father

He grew up in juvie and foster homes because he was the result of his father's affairs.

I mean, he grew up hard. What do you want him to be like?

Of course he's going to be a little bit screwed up, but he's a good boyfriend/husband who cares about his deaf girlfriend/wife, his step-mother, Mary Ann, and he loves Rocky.

He was just hurt that he didn't believe Rocky believed in him.

No character, possibly ever, is going to have the charm and heart of Rocky. It just can’t be replicated. Adonis is a little rough on the edges but I’m sure that’s how his character is written - to be well meaning but a bit brash and cocky like his dad. I really hope they stop this franchise here. Because to go on and be even remotely interesting they need to kill off Rocky and that’s gonna piss off a whole lot of people. Rocky has suffered enough in his life. He’s lost almost everything. He beat cancer and reconnected with his son. To kill him now would just be awful. Let him ride off into the sunset with a smile. Please.
