This almost feels like the "Wrath of Khan" of the Rocky films

*Arguably the hero's (Captain James T. Kirk/Rocky Balboa) single greatest enemy (Khan Noonien Singh/Ivan Drago) returns after being in exile for many, many years.

*Both Khan and Drago were at least in their prime, in effect, genetically bred, super-soldiers.

*Both Khan and Drago essentially hold Kirk and Rocky accountable for ruining their lives after their initial encounters.

I'm guessing that Spock ultimately "dying" at the end of Wrath of Khan was akin to Apollo Creed dying at the hands of Drago in Rocky IV. And Kirk finding out that he has a son in Wrath of Khan is akin to Rocky finding out that his late friend Apollo had a love child around the time of his death. Or it could be like Rocky at the end of Creed II, meeting his grandchild for the first time.
