Adonis character is an insult to Apollo Legacy

Carl Weathers has talked about how the Apollo character, was written to be an educated, polished and articulate family man. He always dressed sharp, he was a keen businessman who worked hard and spoke eloquently. I think it was an effort to portray a minority positively on film - which was rare back then.

Then to make a buck, we find out he had an illegitimate child, and that kid is essentially a foul mouthed thug from the streets. Rocky was from the streets, but Adonis didn't need to be like that too. They sold Apollo out to make some money. As a matter of fact I now prefer Drago and his son.
