Honestly, not bad... but...
It was a mistake to show the villain transformation through an expository montage. That scene really needed to be drawn out longer to give the audience a moment to breathe after what had just happened before moving on to the next fight sequence.
And of course the bad guy CGI was rough, but fits right in with Whedon's Steppenwolf and Wonder Woman's Ares.
