OK they killed John Connor in the beginning... but then in the last act of Dark Fate he time travels to save his mom and the rest in the middle of the fight vs the REV-9?
Probably they would have made him a little older based on Edward Furlong we saw on T2, but just by a couple of years, like in his mid 20s (and in better shape / no drugs).
This movie is fertile ground for fan fiction - most of which will be 100% better.
sharethat would be very bad deus-ex-machina writing...again (it's not like they haven't used this cheap technique before in the movie). also if he comes from an averted future, he would not only have to time travel, but also travel between different timelines / dimensions... and then we're right into genisys "nexus point" (or how they called it) bollocks again.
