Great fun violent movie but some silliness in the complex setup

Really liked this movie and concept. However, several things about the movie are just nonsensical.

The main plot itself - STEM is an AI on a computer chip (forget the pin outs and power pin ;), maybe synapse circuitry from the nerve endings perhaps giving it electricity but whatever ) that is somehow sentient and self-aware like the AI in I,Robot and Matrix and countless other movies.

However, STEM has control of Aaron, who was weak minded anyway, and just needed to get a rootkit installed to become independent without anyone able to control it. It's plan was insanely ridiculous if you ask me. Especially considering it controlled Aaron and could've just made him install the rootkit or remove the safeguards. Plus it is AI on a computer chip (forget that that's not how electronics work) but was out for long periods - during the transfer to his body, when it got shutdown inexplicably etc.

Plus it wasn't ALL in the guy because it was also controlling Aaron and his goons who were also having the AI in them. It was also in the room at the end speaking on the speaker.
So I don't get the complex and convoluted plot to get the rootkit tbh.

Overall though, the movie is fun and engaging and that's about it. Good acting, directing, good looking babe (reminded me of Rebecca Hall) and some intricate plot.
