so was the season worth finishing after all?

I told myself I was done after ep 5, then ended up watching ep 6 anyway (mainly because I was procrastinating doing something more important), AND regretted having seen it, and after that I was really done.

Should I finish it? Does the story eventually come together? Is there a payoff to it all?

Who knows? Who cares? The show lost me after ep 3 (after the house crashes , or was it 2 or 4?)

Yes, I resolutely think that it was. Please avoid my topic, “Wow! . . . That’s How You Do A Season Finale!” if you decide to continue, because it’s rife with spoilers.

I promised I’d tell you if ‘twas worth what some might call the slog. For me, it was never much of a slog, but I understand that persevering through so much cultural/political bombast is a chore.

The last 3 eps are the real payoff. I know you a little bit. You like science fiction. I THINK you also like magic. Please correct me if I’m wrong. If I’m right, you’ll enjoy the season finale, therefore, the season.

I hope you do.

I didn't bother. I forced myself to do Episode 6 and it was just as shitty as the first five. I am not bothering to see any more.

i quit around the same time, a decision i do not regret at all

I was so disappointed I was so excited for the show.

I did love the lunch scene in the first episode where all the food was made to look like Lovecraftian monsters.
