Sadly, by far the weakest of the four incarnations

Having seen all 4 (!) incarnations of this story, the original Spanish one, the Korean one, the German one and now the American one (which strangely enough is also set in Germany!), I have to say this last one is by far the weakest and most uninspired.

The whole story has been stripped down so much that only the bare bones are left, so to speak. Apparently, they didn't even have time or money (or neither) for a decent ending - Liam gets out of the water and: Roll Credits!, with some TV reporter lines heard over the first seconds of credits, trying to somehow wrap up the story or inform the audience briefly about the aftermath (sth. like "He's cooperating with the authorities"...).

As everybody here, I love Liam, and just like Bruce "Yippie-ka-yeh" Willis, who also didn't end his movie career while still making acceptable movies, Neeson will always be remembered for one line: "I will find you. And I will kill you."

And for all you car bomb fans out there: Watch the other three versions, each one is a little different, has a different villain and even totally different endings so it's definitely quite interesting to compare them with each other!
