For Roland Emmerich, that's not bad despite the 40 percent it's got on Rotten Tomatoes.

For those who've seen it, is it worth seeing in theaters. Like is it The Patriot style good for Roland Emmerich.

I would also like to know as i think Patriot is a very entertaining period action film and also waaay better than the rest of Emmerich films.

The Patriot is much better than Midway, in my opinion. But as you say, The Patriot is one of Emmerich's very best films, and just a damn good movie in general.

Midway would be best enjoyed by going into it with tempered expectations. I think I went into it expecting too much.

Patriot is arguably Emmerich's best film. It's too bad we don't get more Revolutionary themed war movies.

40% critics rating. You also need to mention the 92% (!!) audience rating.

I saw the movie and wasn't terribly impressed with it, but I'm glad to see that it's performing better than expected at the box office and that audiences are enjoying. At a time when patriotism in America seems like an endangered species, we need movies like this to remind us that there's a lot to be proud of in our history.
