Watching it now. So far, it's spoiled by Mandy herself.

I would not want a creepy-looking, neurotic acid-burnout New Age hippie chick like her around me for even 10 seconds. Cage should have thanked the cultists for taking her off his hands.

They should have gotten a beautiful, live-action version of Snow White to play Mandy. Not portrayed her as a bizarre-looking stoner headcase.

Cage so far is just generic and bland. I haven't gotten to the revenge part yet, so I am withholding judgement.

One good point to the film is Jeremiah, the evil cult leader. The actor's obviously ripping off the late, great '70s and '80s villain specialist, Richard Lynch, who he even resembles (without the burn scars). I have a feeling he was cast in the role with Lynch in mind. This movie is the closest thing we could ever see to a new Richard Lynch film in the modern era.

There are two parts to this film -- the first half with Mandy, and then the second half.

The second half is a trip, and it's why it's probably my favourite ever Nicholas Cage film.
