Are we ever told what has happened to her mother? I assume she is dead... but are we told and did I just miss it?
shareShe died in a bicycle accident. You see him sit down next to the memorial with the all white bike, and that is why it was such a big deal for Sam to ride a bike and her girlfriend having to teach her.
