If it's on Netflix or hbo I might give it a try

reply

No. I already know nazis were evil and the holocaust was bad. I don't need to have it beat into my head for another two hours.

I watched it today. I thought the cinematography, score and sound were really well done. Performances were good too. The directing and the way the story is told is really interesting and different than what most would expect. I can see some people really hating this, but I felt it was effective in what it set out to achieve. 8/10 is my rating.

reply

why would some people hate this??

reply

It focuses on the Nazi family and doesn't actually show any of the atrocities of the Holocaust, even though you hear them going on in the background.

reply

I think you hit the nail head with your post. The end when Adolf looks at his legacy. With cleaners doing their job in modern times. Just amazing ending.

Thanks. And welcome to Moviechat!

LOOKS KIND OF BORING.🫤

I don't think I was ever aware of it but I suppose I would.
