Longer episodes next season

I wish they were longer.this show has me hooked like when breaking bad was on to where I can't wait for more.but good damn the episodes are so short and the season is over in a lil over 4 hours .

The problem with that is that they could run out of jokes and things to have the characters do. Also, I saw an interview with the producers and they said the goal is for each season to basically be a five hour movie.

Nah, I wish more dramas were just 30 minutes. No filler. Bing bang boom. We're outta here. Next story.

Take a random scene like Johnny talking to that woman in the bar. We got that over with in five minutes. A normal show would have dragged that out the whole episode. Pointless.

I like how tight every is and would prefer to be left wanting more than wishing they didn't have so much filler.

I'm usually all for longer episodes, but somehow the 30 minute format somehow works for this. And would it make sense to suddenly change the format after 2 seasons?

Anyways I don't disagree. The episodes/seasons are very short and it would be good if they were longer, but I'm just saying it works.

The length of the episodes suits me just fine but 15 or so episodes would be better.

I would just want no episodes under 30 min next season. I wonder if episode Three will be the shortest like season one and two?

The industry keeps shrinking the size of a "season" until, at some point, I guess the norm will be two episodes per season, a season premier and a season finale, each 15 minutes long.

When I was a kid in the 1980s, newly-produced TV series only aired on the three major networks: CBS, NBC, and ABC (Fox got into the game in the late 1980s with Married... with Children, 1987). Back then a season meant 20+ episodes, and they were always in a 1-hour time slot unless they were a sitcom (and Cobra Kai isn't a sitcom). If a "season" only had, e.g., 13 episodes, it was considered a half-season. This usually only happened in the first season of a mid-season replacement show.

So far in Cobra Kai's two "seasons," there has only been about a half-season's worth of content by normal standards. For example, if you were watching Magnum, P.I. (I'm talking about the real Magnum, P.I.), season 2, after about 10 hours you'd only be finished with episode 10, with 12 more episodes of the season to go.
