Yeah it was a good movie. I thought it might do better though, guess it proves that Harley is not a box office draw.

This is also not good news for Suicide Squad 2, is it a reboot, rehash or remake? Either way its too soon for a movie of the same name. If the Joker or Batman is not in it, then I think it will be a total failure.

It’s a sequel. Robbie, Davis, Kinnamen, and Courtney are coming back. I suspect they’ll advertise the hell out of James Gunn’s involvement.

Not to my knowledge. Vandal Savage and Queen Bee are rumored to the villains. I don't think this movie is hampered by BoP underperforming. I think people forget that the first one made almost $800M.

2 hours of Harley could be watchable, but not when it has a Margo Robbie voiceover that sounds like fingernails on a chalk board... or when the story is just complete shit. There was potential for a Harley Quinn movie, but it was pissed away by poor writing and the godawful voiceover.

Personally i think shes a hard character to sell unless you do something unique like the Harleen storyline would make a good movie

I was also annoyed with how much she kept harping on her breakup with Mister J. I honestly can't remember what they broke up for. Maybe it was plain as day and explained. I just didn't care.

Very poor story and script full of cliches. When Harley at one point goes "You sold me out." Sure enough, the following line was "Sorry..it was business." How many times have we heard that line?

There's a Harley Quinn cartoon series with much better writing that does somersaults over this film. It's got clever pop culture references without overdoing it, witty & layered lines that make you admire whoever was wielding the pen, and just an overall vibrant feel to the dialogue. Why couldn't we have gotten that type of writing instead of this? It seems like they were trying to go for that R-rated Deadpool tone, but they missed the mark.

I agree with all of this.

As a cherry on top, Harley goes through almost zero conflict. She seems nearly invincible in hand to hand combat, and is never once in any real danger.

There was a scene where she found a baseball bat, and it was supposed to be some big moment. Unfortunately, it fell flat because she clearly didn't need her bat. She had already dispatched of about 50 goons without breaking a sweat.

This movie was full of moments like that. Maybe they work for hardcore fans, but I was just underwhelemed most of the time.
