Not five minutes in and have to point something out here

Are these characters at all realistic?

Because get this...the guy wakes up from cryo-sleep (I'm guessing it was cryo), realizes he's aboard a spaceship and starts looking around. He soon runs into another passenger who looks just as confused. And they stand there eye-balling each other dramatically for a moment before he finally speaks:
"Are you crew?"
Her: "No I'm passenger..."

Elongated Pause

Her: "I thought I was the only one here..."

Prolonged Pause

Him: "So did I..."

And the next pause before they speak again is over ten seconds long. They just stand there sizing each other up before she eventually asks is he has any idea what's going on. And then there's another pause before he replies with a flat, "No.".

The first 40 seconds of dialogue here and I'm not sure I've ever seen this kind of drama-overload. It sticks out. Hence why I stopped it to come here and say "wow".

Because it'd be more like this in real life:

"Holy shit someone else, thank God, who are you?"
"Jessica, what the fuck is going on here?"
"I was going to ask you the same thing...where are we?"
"I don't know, I just woke up and found myself here"
"Me too. Fuck."
"Fuck!"
"You want to make out?"
"Sure!"
*start dry humping*

Maybe not the last part, but yeah, this show is WAY dramatized. Wow. Does it keep on like this?

Yep , i noticed that.
They dont get any better at communicating.
they could split up , looking for supplies , someone might get eaten by a monster , or shoot themselves , and and they'll just meet up again and be like:
"Find anything?"
"Nah"

LOL
Its been so long that I don't really remember much of the movie, but yep, sounds like the same movie I watched!
