Quite bad. Skip.

Reviews are in and don't look good. Boring is the consensus so avoid.

reply

fuck reviews. I watched the movie without all that and enjoyed it. but hey, to each their own i guess. We can't all think for ourselves.

reply

You are the target audience so don't worry about it.

reply

Uh huh, I'm sure you had to read online about "targeted audiences" to come up with that opinion too. and hey, you're their targeted reader. So don't worry about it.

reply

Are you sure you want to bump this thread?

reply

I liked the movie. So yes, yes I do. Puts the picture on the trending front. Question is does the guy who dislike this movie want to contribute to keeping said movie they call "quite bad" on the trending block by replying again?

Your move pal.

reply

I enjoyed it as well, so you are not alone. I went in with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. It's not a classic but it was a fun movie to watch on Netflix.

reply

Same here. Knew nothing about this movie and was well entertained. It has its flaws but it is far from "quite bad". OP has not even seen the movie, he read the snobby review of some critic and copied that opinion without even watching the movie.

How fucking pathetic is that!?

Also, I GUARANTEE there is at least a handful of movies OP likes where others just raise an eyebrow thinking it is horrible.

Nothing worse in the movie community than insecure edgelords like OP that need to shit on others to feel superior.

reply

I agree. Pretty lame to be like "Yeah, this movie sucks" when you haven't even seen the film. In fact, it's so lame I'm tempted the think the OP is just trolling, knowing what kind of response he would get.

What's hilarious is comparing the Critics and Audience scores on RT. The Critics' score right now is 35%. The Audience score is 91%. Clearly the average man and the stuffy critics are not on the same page.

reply

That's very common these days.
The only movies "official critics" still praise beyond measure is all the woke shit which of course falls completely flat with audiences.

reply

I watched it for myself and the reviews are right. It is not good.

reply

Thank you. Haven't watched it yet but it's good that others can be warned.

reply

imma watch it this wknd

i have to see it to crap on it know what im sayin

reply

I dug the movie, too. I totally wasn't paid to say so, either!

reply

Reviews, for once, are spot on. This crap is as bad as it gets.

reply

Wow! You haven't even watched it and you're telling people not to watch it? I'm glad I don't listen to idiots like you. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

P.S. 6.5 isn't too shabby.

reply

Fair rating imo.

reply

I liked it too, glad I ignored the reviews. I would watch a sequel. I'd give it a solid 6.

reply

I'd give it a 7/10. I thought it was surprisingly enjoyable. Maybe I'm being influenced by the fact that I thought the trailer looked super-generic and went into it expecting very little.

reply

I'm glad you watched it. 90 minutes of peace for the people in your life.

reply

Enjoy only limiting yourself to movies with good reviews. You are sure to miss out on some gems in the future.

reply

Thanks but I have no FOMO

reply

6.0-6.5 is about right. It is a mildly entertaining movie, but not memorable by any stretch. In a few years, I will probably forget I ever saw it.

reply

Agreed - it was much worse than jungle cruise and free guy. I blame the lame script and lack of chemistry among the actors. I saw a few interviews where Rock talked about knowing Ryan for 20 years and how they were friends. Then I also saw interviews with both of them present and I can tell ya that Reynolds has a better chemistry with Josh Brolin - they are both on the same wavelength in terms of humor. The Rock has decent chemistry with Kevin Hart tho (even if Jumanji sucks).
