If it had been me...
I'd have been straight from the start and said that I got hit by a bus, everybody forgot this band and now I'm cashing in on their songs. How would reporters react to that any differently than Lady Gaga's meat dress? He wouldn't have to feel guilty about being a star and the public would still assume that he wrote the songs
