I can't help but find these Quiet Place films boring.

It's probably the fact they contain little dialogue. But for all their strengths I've found both of the films a bit of a bore.

It doesn't help that this entry relies heavily on suspense via the danger the Aliens pose to the protagonists. That's all well and good except for the fact the protagonists have plot armor so strong that I never felt like they were in any real trouble. So ultimately you're left with little.

This sequel also lacked the emotional impact of the first, which had a good scene where the Father sacrifices himself.

The cinematography and acting are pretty good. I also found the editing in this sequel to be great, loved the cuts between two different scenes where the scenarios are lining up.

A few good things going on here but 'eh...I find them a bit overrated.
