Heavily flawed 2nd half

Once we are introduced to the people on the harbour it raises so many questions. Have these people not worked out to use a boat and maybe cross over to the island on it? The little deaf girl worked out to do this minutes after arriving, and these people had presumably been there long enough to set up an ambush. Also their plan was to kidnap the girl in front of one might assume her dad, when he can put them all in danger at any moment by opening his mouth or making a noise, as can the girl? Which is funnily enough what happened straight after. Did they not see that coming? I mean seriously how did these people last this long when they come across as extremely dumb?

Not long after we learn that the aliens can't swim. From knowing they can't swim and can be manipulated by sound it shouldn't take much to devise a trap for them. Honestly when you give the aliens these sort of weaknesses you start to wonder how there aren't more survivors.

There's always some random group of killjoys in these movies that make no sense. It was also like that in the film The Silence.

Why are there crazy people trying to terrorise folks, when you can just yell and ruin everybody's day? It's so dumb.

And yeah, the monsters' weakness of not being able to swim raised some huge questions about WTF the military were (or weren't) doing? At least in The Tomorrow War they had naval bases at sea and launched attacks from there. That made some sense. How did the military not know about the aliens' sensitivity to sound or their inability to swim? Just raises a lot of questions and pokes massive holes in the (im)plausibility of the whole scenario.

The Silence was just a cheap AQP knock off. It was definitely far inferior to AQP and AQP II, which are at least well made and hold your interest, even if they have big flaws.

I agree about the military. We should be seeing and hearing planes and helicopters flying by from time to time in these movies. If an island full of ordinary people can survive this problem free, then there is no doubt the military will have established safety points scattered about, and with their resources and capability, probably should have already figured out by now how to defeat them and would have started wiping them out.
