Inquisitors are stupid

I know it's cannon with cartoons and everything but I find the idea of having inquisitors very contradictory to the Emperor's attitude and the general mythos of Star Wars.

There was "balance to the force" Obi wan and Yoda, Emperor and Vader. So where do these dark jedi come from? Why were they never mentioned before? Why did they fall to the dark side when Yoda was still around to teach. They obviously aren't kids so why did the emperor let these Jedi live? If light Jedis can go dark then couldn't dark Jedis go light and be a threat to the emperor? How do they operate by beating up random people on Tatooine and accuse them of harboring Jedi when the odds are millions to 1 against this?

Silly person! Sure, Jedi could go dark even if someone like Yoda is around, just like children raised by good people can turn out to be monsters, because all sentient beings have free will, and the capacity to do stupid and horrible things.

And yes, of course they'd have the capacity to turn to the light a la Darth Emo, so they probably police each other, and kill their colleagues if there's any suspicion of decency. Betcha a hundred dollars the show goes into that.

"There was "balance to the force" Obi wan and Yoda, Emperor and Vader."

That's what you think that meant? Same amount of Jedi and Sith?

Cartoons aren't canon to me to be honest, but the franchise has ALWAYS done stuff like this. Secret apprentices, Force users that aren't Sith - so it doesn't break "the rule of the Sith - and other loop holes. I agree it can get stupid.

I definitely don't like how open and "in your face" these Inquisitors are presented. I was somewhat skippable about the Inquisitors being retconned into existence in the first place but I'd find it easier to accept if there weren't so many of them & they operated a lot more like a secretive & shadowy arm of the Empire that few people knew about. Instead we have them openly & brazenly terrorizing the common folk around the galaxy in search of jedi like a crude Nazi Gestapo unit of obvious dark jedi.

I disagree. The Inquisitors so far are my favorite part of this series

It has only been 'canon' since 2014, after the Disney takeover. From 1977 to 2014, Darth Vader himself hunted down the remaining Jedi Knights throughout the known Star Wars Galaxy in the 19 years between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, and this is by far the best and most believable storyline. Obi-Wan Kenobi tells us what Darth Vader did after the Empire started, told to us by him in the very first Star Wars film.

This was called the Great Jedi Purge. Darth Vader was feared throughout the galaxy as a result of his actions.
He did not sit in a bacta tank on Mustafar while twirling lightsaber 'Inquisitors' went out and did his work for him.

Why do the Inquisitors have Tron discs on their backs?
