Double the Eric, double the fun!!!!
Well the lunacy just keeps on getting better. In this installment of Dr. Stalker, we get the pleasure of Eric Roberts in a double role. Not only does he play fantastically crazy Dr. Beck, but out of nowhere, he's now also playing his laid back, Hawaiian shirt wearing, tropical drink guzzling, even-keeled, level-headed, sense talking conscience. So I'm assuming that that's the part of him that actually got him through medical school and his long tenure as a respected doctor and surgeon. And Eric seems to be absolutely relishing his role in these movies. Who'd have thought that so late in his career he'd be doing some of his most entertaining acting in his own hugely entertaining, wacked out franchise. Still two movies left to watch and I'm still hoping that in one of these installments they show why he is the way he is. This movie was an absolute unequivocal laugh-fest. One major plot hole though, not that there isn't a million plot holes in this franchise, but, this is a big one, he was on trial for his crimes from the first movie. But nothing was said about his crimes of the second movie. There was one fleeting, and deliciously hilarious, scene about it. But none of those crimes seem to come into the equation with the cops or with his court case. Which seemed very odd. One thing that I was very glad to see was that we finally got one of his 12-year-old psychotic tantrums. We really didn't get any of them in the second movie for some reason. And the ones that he had in the first movie were absolutely epic LOL!!!! We also got an impromptu musical number out of absolutely nowhere ROTFLMAO!!!! Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to watching the next two films in the series. And hopefully there'll be more of them because they really are very fun. And I seriously hate cheesy Lifetime Channel movies. But Eric and these outrageous storylines are making these a pleasure to watch. Here's the link to the full movie if anyone's interested.
