It all depends how much you drink in a day and every week as well, darkpast (3063).

shareHe drinks beer like a pro , if you can drink each beer like that for a whole case in one night without any beer freezing, that is a good effort.
shareThis movie rendered a real problem of alcoholism. Cheers for that. I'm one of those guys and the depiction in this movie is very close to reality. A real drinker could easily finnish a whole fridge shown in the movie. Those beers are in small cans. No big deal to drink that.
And showing his thoughts about coaching the team was very realistic. When people drink and think about something they go over it again and again.
Nevertheless there should be a limit, you don't bring alcohol to work or to school.
Nonetheless, he was blamed coming to work drunk. That was a bit unfair. He slept it over. Of course the smell could still be there, but going behind his back and reporting after all he's done was unfair. That math teacher was a dick. That triggered the incident that leaded him going into excessive drinking and into a wrong house.
No, the incident that caused him to blackout, wreck his car, and walk into the wrong house, was from him going to the hospital with his wife and seeing his son's friends parents getting news that their boy most likely doesn't have much longer to live, triggering some bad memories from his own experience. And most likely he did drink the next morning before going in, to stop the shakes and be somewhat normal, so I'm sure the smell was strong. Bit excessive for them to just can him instead of at least sending him home for the day, but it was a religious school. Great move nonetheless, did a great job of relaying some very strong emotions.
shareThere was also the earlier incident where the math teacher saw beer cans in the office. Affleck’s character lied and said he had some friends over , and the math teacher knew it was a lie. He gave Affleck a break there.
Plus, the math teacher was aware of Affleck’s character’s reputation as a drunk. One of the coaches from the opposition said, “can’t believe you guys got him out of the bar.”
Considering Affleck’s reputation, the earlier incident with the beer cans, the fact that it’s a religious school, that he’s dealing with children ... it wasn’t so unfair that they cut him loose.
In fact, right before he got canned, he poured alcohol in the mug.
LMAO I used to have a 7 year cal Ripken like drinking streak in my prime. But thank God hangovers made me quit in 2005
