Why are they going full comedy with this?

In the beginning it felt like they was trying to be serious and somewhat scary, but as the show has progressed its fallen more and more into comedy.

I'm 4 episodes into Season 4 and nearly every episode has been comedic, the first episode is legit about a monster who at first appears to be trying to kill the lead character, but then becomes all nice and wants to sit down and have a friendly conversation. Another episode is about a dude who kills his parents who are way over the top mean to him and they become ghosts that haunt him and just want to nag him forever.

I mean i don't get it, they've just given up on trying to make any of these episodes scary or serious, they're all just huge jokes and trying to be funny.

I don't mind the comedy. We saw that with Tales from the crypt. There are certainly issues with the writing. It's so uneven and you end up with 3d George Romero comic books. That episode was truly dumb.

Yeah Tales From The Crypt had its comedic episodes here and there but there was very few of them compared to the straight up horror ones. Creepshow the series is going full comedy with every episode which the movie Creepshow maybe had 1 comedic story, The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill but it was also very dark by the end of it.

This series is starting to feel more like a remake of Tales From The Darkside or Goosebumps more than Creepshow, cause those shows was full of comedic cheesy stories.

I don't remember many Tales From the Crypt episodes, but one I remember often is The Assassin... lol you could say it was ahead of its time.
