Kinda funny, first half better than second

Ignoring the subpar acting and amateur grade dialog, the movie started out interesting enough.

The second half is where it really went off rails, around the time the ex kills her escort 'boyfriend'. The police detective investigation into the murder is the most hilarious thing ever, it has to be the most relaxed and laziest investigation ever. Firstly the police don't show up until the next day, this is a MURDER with someone reportedly stabbed to death. No cornering off the crime scene either, literally trying to solve the case on the spot and then arresting the husband with no evidence, only for him to be seen in your stereotypical convict clothes in the next scene. His subsequent release was also just kinda shrugged off as a "hehe woops" too. It's so ridiculous it's hilarious.

What was the deal with Patrick also? Movie made him out to be sinister and infatuated with the wife, but nothing eventuated - even at the end it was weird with him; did something big get cut there or something?

And did anyone else think that the ex was dead? The movie made a deal of showing her 'break' her neck falling down the stairs and the police turning up in dramatic fashion, but then you see her in prison.

In saying all this, it's watchable if you enjoy low budget straight to TV films with plots like this.
