question about the plot; plot hole?

So it looks like the kid's bodyguard (Saju) didn't have the money to hire the mercenary, and therefore the plan was for the mercenary (Tyler Rake) get the kid back, and then the bodyguard (Saju) would jump in at the last minute and kill tons of people (including Tyler) and take the kid back home. But wouldn't there still be tons of people supporting Tyler (e.g. the woman; Nik Khan) whom he would not kill, that would easily unravel this scam? And then when the jig is up presumably the angry, mercenary people who want their dough and are miffed that Tyler and others are dead would take some revenge on Saju or the kid or the kid's dad. So how exactly was this supposed to end favorably for Saju in the long run? Would Saju's boss be glad that Saju stiffed the mercenary? What am I missing?

Pretty much, except I am sure it was never intended to be so obvious.

The woman would see her men killed, and the kid lost. End of story, and then the bodyguard would come in from the left-field and save the day. I think this was the idea. Or perhaps to downplay the bodyguard, and make it seem the kid, ”himself”, escape through the jungle...

Had it gone as planned, Saju would have gotten the kid by the river bank and likely they would have escaped together, undetected, through the jungle.

And he almost succeeded. Had he offed Tayler there, just one more man, and it would have worked. Of course, Tayler is not just another man.

.... And then again, the gangster dad did say he would kill his family if he wouldn't succeed... and under such ultimatum, perhaps Saju didn't care too much if the Woman would be pissed or not... In a way, if the Woman would have been pissed at the Gangster dad and his organization, it might have served as a soft kind of payback some time down the line...
