A problem with time slipping

We see Loki sleeping in time several times. And always in the previous episodes he slips in time with his body while in the last 2 episodes only his consciousness slips in the body that he already has there.

How is this possible/explained?

reply

Totally, i was wondering about that
One time he prunes himself and replaces himself
I am probably missing something

reply

I guess they just made a mess ...

reply

He learned how to control it. They demonstrated this but it was still confusing, I don't blame you at all for being confused. A lot of the plot points were jumbled and not well explained towards the end.

reply

I'm not talking about that.

Yes, he learned to control it. But the change from jumping in time WITH the body to having only his consciousness jumping in time AND in the past/future body is more than just that.

Plus: where is HIS consciousness that he replaces in the old/future body?

reply

That's an excellent point/observation. I wasn't even thinking about that.

I guess in a world of magic you are suppose to ignore reason?
