This is the weakest of the three Sir Gawain & The Green Knight movies that I've seen(spoilers)

I finally was able to watch this stinker. This was a horrible defacement of a classic Arthurian legend. Casting a South Asian to play Gawain was horrible BUT the movie is even worse. Instead of this stinker, I recommend Sir Gawain & the Green Knight and Sword of the Valiant.

The director spent too much time on the music. Many of the scenes featured music blaring while showing shots of Gawain traveling or close-ups of scenic views. The music was good but I don't watch movies for the music. The music also drowned out the dialogue in many of the scenes. The movie also used music instead of dialogue in the final dream sequence of the film. The lighting for most of the film was too dark.

The film got weirder and weirder as it went along. Instead of the adventures of a knight on a quest, this story seemed like a horror/suspense/thriller. He had a weird sexual encounter with the lady who gave him the magic sash and the lord of the manor gave Gawain a gay kiss and asked for more. It was also a bit odd when the fox started talking to Gawain towards the end.

I was disappointed with the portrayal of Gawain as a coward when he faced the green knight
at the end. This is Sir Gawain of the knights of the round table.

The ending baffles me since there was this big dream sequence with lots of music and ZERO dialogue that features Gawain being crowned king and then having his head fall off. He awakens from the dream and the green knight states that it is time for Gawain to lose his head and Gawain is ready. The movie then ends without showing the final confrontation. I wouldn't ordinarily mind that in a typical movie BUT this is the story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. This is not David Lowery's story. This is David Lowery taking a dump on a classic Arthurian tale. The director should focus on directing musical videos since that is his true talent.
