Is it me, or does living room set look right out All in the Family?

In watching a couple of episodes of this show, it struck me how much the living room looks just like the living room from All In The Family.

Just read an article in NY Magazine and didn't see a mention of this....

The author is probably 27 years old and has only heard vague, if any, references to All in the Family and has certainly never seen an episode.

Just read where the set is a homage to the TV show Everybody Loves Raymond, but I never watched that show. I did pull up some images of the All in the Family set and the layout is the same, but I did not see any trivia where ELR was a homage to All in the Family.

Totally reminded me of the everybody loves Raymond set and I guess from the above response it was on purpose. Thank God cause there is no way that would be an accident. It is close to all in the family set too though as you mentioned it.

AITF had a couch on the right; Edith and Archie's chairs were center.
