If legitimate people who actually had the money and had experience organizing festivals tried to do a festival like what The Fyre Festival was supposed to be, could it be done? And profitable?

shareThe economics would be dicey; providing luxury accommodation, top musical acts, celebrity shills, and catered food would mean tickets would be outrageously expensive. Anyone who tried would have to have some way to appeal to the most prosperous members of society, because the likes of us would NOT be able to afford festival passes.
It's very difficult to get large numbers of idle rich people together for something new.
I agree. It just wouldnt be cost effective for a ton of regular wage people to fly in for a festival vs. 50-100 people with disposable money.
