sharei can see that. maybe it's similar in the way it takes on its absurd premise with a straight face. there's no winking at the camera.
i liked this a lot less, personally. there are things to admire in it, i guess, but jeez i ultimately found it plodded and plodded and plodded along.
maybe if it had been trimmed down a bit, i wouldn't have felt so worn down by it.

the movie was all allegorical and symbolism. there were some good parts. i would have liked to have seen more of the horror behind the beast. it was not to be.
