It turns out, the owner of the asylum is a 300 year old Baron. He built the place and his wife couldn't get pregnant so he started experimenting. He found an eternal life source (harvesting human essential oils). With his new discovery, he impregnates his wife. Meanwhile the town folk are super pissed he's been experimenting on them so they burn the place down and cut out his unborn baby. He saves his daughter using the human essential oils and tries to marry/impregnate her 300 years later (now) but the wall street guy saves the day and re-burns the place down. Oh my gosh! Thank you so much, I was even willing to rent it to watch this movie today lol. I absolutely adored his reaction! Haha OK, you've sold me! Ugh, I hope they're above that with this one. Leave well enough alone Obviously *spoilers* ; the girlfriend! Oh my, getting shot in the stomach may not be that gory but it's supposed to be one of the most painful ways to die, stomach acid and all that. Well deserved! Such an amazing performance by the actress. I didn't think she had the chops based on her character from Girls but given the platform, she did an amazing job! I loved this movie! It's rare to see something original in horror (albeit, that last few years we've had some fantastic horror) and movies that can touch on serious issues with humor in the way this one did. I think if you're short-sighted enough to generalize that all white people are slave owning bigots because of this movie you're a little too daft to see movies with any substance. Stick to Michael Bay to avoid being offended. Unfortunately along with all of the great conversation that moved to this site from IMDB trolls followed as well :( Fair enough! Fear Inc. Autopsy of Jane Doe Don't Breath 10 Cloverfield Lane The Green Room The Greasy Strangler Looking forward to seeing Get Out this weekend! I thought the impregnation sub plot was hilarious! Rounded the movie out into a campy horror/dark comedy. Which gave it a bit more depth for rewatchability. I read Carrion Comfort. That book was all sorts of messed up. Thank you! I've had it on hold at the library for I don't know how long and there is still a miserable number of people ahead of me. I'll take it off my list and add a different novel from my reading list :) I so jumped the gun. April 26th :( That is it! I did not expect to get it sorted to quickly. Thank you :) It's just coming out on Hulu! I love Elisabeth Moss who is playing Offred, so heres to hoping! Tyler get me a job as a waiter, after that Tyler's pushing a gun in my mouth and saying, the first step to eternal life is you have to die. For a long time though, Tyler and I were best friends. People are always asking, did I know about Tyler Durden Is this Pink Flamingos? I feel like that's a movie you wouldn't forget though. And it was two ladies getting married. Or a transgendered woman and a woman...
