As a Jew I say she did not. The Holocaust is there to be a lesson. On, among other things, how to effectively dehumanise a group of people in a civilised society.

Frankly The Peripheral is far from Gibson's best work and The Agency is simply terrible. So no great loss. This one is a more important sci-fi novel (although I am not a fan). It deserved a better adaptation.
