Invasion got bad real fast. "Trapped" and "Fortitude", and a Russian series "To The Lake" were all good. Australia is just America in the Southern Hemisphere now that some of you are a little bit civilized and can engage in civil discussion ... not you of course. The Hamas attacks of 10-7 uncovered a very ugly streak in a certain faction of the Left that is a very ugly stain on the Left. I for many decades and some others I've seen recently came out strongly against trying to make Hamas and other bad guys sympathetic victims to the Left, yet it continued in weird non-mainstream media ways. I read an article a few days ago about the demographics in Germany. Germany is now about 2% Jews and 12% Muslim, which means that the mainstream politicians are forced by democratic rules to represent Muslims more, and because of their birthrates they will be 30% or so of the population by 2050. I reject the Leftist rhetoric from anyone who makes it about Muslims, or Hamas ... this is a clever frontal assault on the West, an existential threat just as bad as the Right-wing haters. Two poles of undemocratic groups who are ruining it for the rest of the country. Why would they put your online goofball fairy tales in speeches and parades? Republicans do that - Democrats fail to reverse it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrMiSQAGOS4 He has two speeds ... extra-slow and extra loud. Biden is not an inspiring figure that's for sure. He did enough by showing up, and giving some global focus on the truth of the fake claims of the hospital bombing by Islamic Jihad. How much longer is the world going to put up with these barbarians who cannot cope with the modern world? He an be asleep for all that traveling, and he moves like a sloth. Democrats have to come to terms with what Biden is. He is a physically clumsy and weak old man who is mostly unacceptably poor at public communication and trying to appeal to populist sentiment with token gestures, some of which have worked because of how bad America has gotten. But continuing the war and spending money, and failing to raise taxes on the rich put in perspective against what really needs to be done or could be done by an impossible "perfect president" he just fails a little less than the others. On a grand scale that has to be enough for re-election, and is near perfect compared to the alternative. The example of which is playing out in the House with no speaker. Republicans might as well be terrorists, except terrorists are easier to deal with than an internal threat. > President Biden has been anything but "sedentary." But I notice that a lot of people don't really pay attention to his accomplishments and instead like to fixate on his age. As a disappointed Democrat I appreciate your attempt at a Biden pep talk but I've seen this stuff before with selective video. The purposefully dishonest or nasty stuff coming from Democrats does not help, it just makes it seem like they are resigned to playing the game of race to the bottom. Biden "is what he is" as they say, he's passed the test for most Americans with a C when to be fair compared to other Presidents he deserves a B, therefore Republicans have to make visibly ridiculous statements claiming he is an F, not true, but further than Trump is an A. That's caught up with Republicans again as it always does. So, not need to exaggerate. Biden's fatal mistake has been supporting the war on Ukraine. The real story of that is so cognitively dissonant and propagandists bet on it not exploding. These are millions of people's lives at stake. That is not a Democratic value. As usual you ascribe to Trump all the qualities that he does not have. The true genocider uses that word as an accusation against those they want to genocide. I'd bet you that no more than double-digits would be given asylum in the US. No appetite for importing Palestinians especially in groups. You're right about our "democracy" not representing the people. The people want socialism, but they don't know it and are scared of the world. Like Canada's Medicare and the UK's NHS health care in America is killing people. So in poor education, and the elite colleges and universities. Homeless people need to be dealt with and other things where Americans get totally ripped off. Whenever Trump or a Republican passes massive tax cuts they affect the super-rich much more because over time that debt is paid off by working people. Tax cuts force working people to pay interest to those with government bonds, and to take on the taxes not paid by the billionaires and corps. The reality is that previous president have done nothing to even acknowledge that, where Biden has. Compared to previous Presidents Biden is a radical. Still he has not done enough and he let this Ukraine long-term boondoggle get way out of hand. I wish we had a choice, but the thing is people do not vote, and the do not understand. The Average American has a 5th grade understanding of civics, and no ability to think critically. On my TV I get a bunch of digital channels, most of which are real garbage. I don't use it often, but it's good when there is news and I care to see what the mainstream media is reporting. I run into the Walking Dead channel and am reminded of the fun time we used to have sitting around watching TWD. I watched FTWD and never liked it until they brought Morgan and John Dorie in. That season and the one after it were interesting, then it really went to hell. Tried the others ... all terrible, especially the last two. I don't think he'll use AF1 as refugee shipping. I hope none - I think it is well understood that the American people, and almost all the countries in Europe are admitting bringing in all those refugees for cheap labor was a terrible idea. At least I hope so. We don't need Palestinian refugees in the US and I don't think they will be accepted. The whole refugee "invasion" needs not only to be stopped but if the FBI or intelligence services have been keeping track of radicals in the area they need to be sent back. Egypt's military had to overthrow Morsi for his close ties to the Muslims Brotherhood. The MB was created in Egypt and is the root of the web of all Middle Eastern terrorism. The threat of history goes back to Palestinian's Grand Mufti, Haj Amin Al-Hussayni, the governor of Palestine during WWII who met with and bonded with Hitler over his hate of the Jews. He was put up in a luxury apartment in Berlin for the War and given command of soldiers in Eastern Europe. The Wikipedia page of Al-Hussayni has been cleansed of all his many Hitler related stories and photos. Sickening. Anyway, that is one reason Egypt does not want to allow Pal. refugees in - they do not want to invigorate the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Also true that they do not want Jihadis. The thing is at this point there are 2 million or more Palestinians that no one wants or will help. The creation of this was a direct result of the Arab states refusing at the beginning to take in Palestinians after the creation of the State of Israel. Everywhere the Pals have gone they have gotten out of control and been a huge problem. I hope what Israel has in mind is to set up a refugee camp in the Sinai peninsula and do what they need to do to destroy every bit of Hamas, and then in a controlled way let Gazan's back into Gaza. Hamas is desperate to provoke a larger war in the region, and today's claim that Israel bombed a Hamas hospital was out there for hours before anyone could analyze the data and realize it was a Hamas rocket fired from Gaza that failed and fell back to Gaza and bombed their own hospital. You are accepting Palestinian propaganda. Sure, they are cases where people who just want to get on with their lives and families and are made to go serve in the IDF just lose it because of these constant Palestinian murders, riots and violence. Constant rocket attacks. Separate out that from the large-scale IDF ops which do not aim at civilians and it is not really a thing. Palestinians are always creating a scene at the Al-Aqsa mosque which is something Israel should just tear down, because it is built on the ancient Jewish temple. Radical Muslims do this all over the place. Go look up the Bamiyan Buddhas in Afghanistan under the Taliban. The difference in Western institutions and Islamic institutions are like night and day. I think the physics of the universe is such that this is an impossibility. To get that big and widespread, even without any communication capability would take longer than the lifespan of the stars. And there would be no way to communicate to the home world, even let alone neighboring stars that would take years to go back and forth. This is the kind of science fiction I detest. Israel left Gaza years ago in an attempt to let Gazan's govern themselves. This has been a massive failure as continued terrorism from Hamas who Gaza's voted in to be their government. Hamas is led by super-rich jet-setting elite Arabs who live outside of Gaza and devise strategy to make their people miserable and brutal and aim them at Israel.
