I'm more confused over the fact that everyone just stopped, they had no phones. All that happened was Winston got that fellow to make a call and say "Now", that's all. It made no sense. You'll love this then, there is hardly any dialogue, the story is told more through visuals than the dialogue. It was...different to not have much in the way of character development or that the story was being shown, rather been being told per sè. It was very effective, I'll give him that, definitely one of the more intense movies I've seen. Do you feel like a dumb ass yet? The thing that got me his switching of time, in one scene it's night at the beach then all of sudden you're back with the planes during daylight. It didn't feel very cohesive, the continuity kept being broken. I connected the dots fine, piecing the scenes together, but it was confusing as hell switching between night and day. Perhaps had he been alive they all would have turned out differently. Shit started after he passed away. He probably figured that there's no way Simpson was going to get away with it with all that evidence and he'll just ride it out, be a good mate, and slowly kill the relationship over time while Simpson is behind bars. Haha, yeah, the apocalyptic ending did come as a surprise, never really saw that coming. It definitely makes the film more memorable than if it had the typical ending. I kept seeing Jeffrey from 12 Monkeys heh. Different perspective I suppose. I was thinking her pod was going to explode through re-entering due to the damage, for a moment I figured they're both going to die. Except it wasn't steering, it didn't need to, the pod was already on the right trajectory. Norman was trying to get it off that trajectory and Calvin knew all it had to do was stop Norman steering the pod. It probably didn't know why it was doing what it was doing, other than it had to stop the human from doing whatever they are doing. Sorry, but it was pretty obvious which pod got hit by debris, watch the scene again and have your palm ready for your face ;) View all replies >
