Loved the buildup of this movie and we finally get the punchline near the end On the ephigy. "Nobody was faster on the draw" :-) They kept you guessing on the outcome, but I couldn't imagine they would actually kill off HF character, but it was still a surprise how it turned out. Also I assume this movie is a reference later in the Jarmusch Western "Dead Man" The supporting character's name is also Nobody. This was what caught my eye and made me watch it last night scrolling through a list. Didn't know this movie existed or maybe I saw it as a kid and forgot it. Agree. There are a lot of clues. John says the house is empty, daughter isn't there, it's off season. When she arrives the pool is full of leaves and has the cover on it. The swimming scenes it's summer and the pool is clean, etc etc. It was all her imagination. Even the deleted scenes show Sarah walking around examining the areas surrounding the property, coming up w/details within. The two men (Franck and the other French guy) at the pool are even wearing the same briefs. I'm sure I've seen more than you punk I don't usually dig her. She was cute in mystic pizza as someone mentioned, but she looked pretty good in this one. But usually I don't care for her. Just one of many ridiculous things about this stupid movie. Sucked balls. Pretty fucking bad and about 40min too long. Just went on and on and on. Couldn't wait for it to be over. I wanted to shut it off after 10 min. I should have. Waste of fucking time. Saw that coming a mile away. Cliche. Logan's run I watched for the third time last night. Was thinking the exact same thing. Obviously the Jammers were turned off when Nixon called the Moon and spoke in real time. ๐Ÿ˜€ Not even close. Moonstruck for one. Or any movie with Laura Dern. I don't think so either. I don't think either player was based on anyone in real life. I just wanted to say Pat Rafter was destined to win Wimbledon that year and it was an all-time great final. Pat was on a roll that year and the year before and took out Sampras and Agassi and others in the majors. Nothing against Goren, it's a great underdog story, but he just had an amazing day serving on the then fast courts of Wimbledon before they slowed them down during Federers era to appease the boring baseline players and lengthen the points. 9 days out of 10, Rafter wins that match. Sad that he never got a title he was so suited for with his playstyle. Any other player I'd have been happy to see Goren defeat at the time. Pat was awesome. Like a shooting star for two years. Taking it to 9-7 in the 5th. So close! You're thinking of Match Point. Easy to confuse the two. I'll have to check out Muscle Shoals. I Just watched Hired Gun yesterday. Similar theme, but more heavy metal/rock focused. They kept the JFK files secret over 60 years now. Among others. We never went to the moon. When you break it down to the basic components you realize why. Also the lighting is a dead giveaway in the photos. 100s of reasons. Fake it til you make it. It's like a religion to some people. Cult. No critical thinking. It might have been possible to get to the moon, but not return. No way no how, even today. You need air, water, fuel, bathrooms, food, batteries batteries batteries, computers, and so on, redundant everything in case of failure. Space is unforgiving. So true. Great username! Loved that show. def better. Chinatown and Godfathers are leagues ahead of Jaws. Dryfuss sucked in this movie and I never liked him much, so I'm biased. At a minimum he was poorly cast IMO. I remember waiting in a long long line to get into Jaws as a kid. I think it was my first PG film even. It was great then, but it has aged poorly. I watched it a few weeks ago for shits and giggles and it hasn't held up. Even Shaw, who I thought was the best part of the movie, came off a bit cheesy in my adult retrospect vision. Him and Dryfuss drinking scene was total cringe. The Deep which was an offshoot of Jaws, holds up much better and is more re-watchable today, though I would not have thought that 40 years ago. Shaw is also in it. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid is way better. Jaws did kinda make a big splash and had some unique attributes then, but doesn't hold up over time...at least as rewatchable. I'll watch Chinatown all day. Never gets old. Star wars I saw twice the day it came out, but isn't as great as I remember. Yeah, at the time it was amazing. For kids. I tried watching Return of the Jedi recently and couldn't sit through more than 30 min of it. STOWE is a 10 on both counts. Though her better work is in 12 Monkeys and other movies. English patient was better.
