I also wondered about that part too. It was also surprising for me as well. Though it remains ambiguous it's hard to believe that dirt gets compacted this soon.
That might be the reason too, for the weak and non-gripping storyline.
and the weak storyline makes you lose interest in the movie as well. I mean, I would certainly like to see it to the end but only graphics cannot hold me. There has to be a good storyline too.
Throughout the movie, I felt as I was watching it just to end it.
They showed in the beginning that it is part 1, there shall be a part 2 as the movie till now is incomplete.
