You have to understand that for a great majority of people, reputation is more important than real talent. They don’t want to take any risks by expressing their opinions. We all agree that half the cast of Game of thrones have the potential to win an academy award, but they’ll probably never be casted in the right movie with the right director to have it. And we didn’t even know these people existed a few years ago. Stallone is a wonderful actor who could have had some academy awards if he never pursued making action movies in the 80’s, he would have done movies with Scorsese, De Palma, Spielberg, Sergio Leone. That’s why Woody Allen who considers himself as a bad director (that’s how you recognize real genious, you’ll never hear Di Caprio saying that he’s a bad actor), says he prefers sport over moviebusiness, because body and stats never lies while academy awards can ;). In my opinion it’s because the screenwriters today are from this 80’s generation (JJ Abrahms and co) that’s all (my generation, I was about the exact same age as stranger things kids in 1985). In the late 70’s and 80’s the main fantasy was to go back in the late 50’s (Peggy Sue, Back to the future) for the same reasons. The next generation of screenwriters will write movie scripts about the 90’s. It’s like the madeleine de Proust you know. Just wait for your turn kids ;) It was written this way.. Please don't compare this crap humor to Seinfeld. That's exactly how they'll do it Ghostbusters At least the stay puft marshmallow man somewhere in the race scene to crush some cars.. Val Kilmer probably great idea View all replies >
