I think it will do fine at the box office and critically as well. I'd say 550M and about 70 on RT.
I think it looks like it has promise and I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Although I think the "Tornadocide" complaints are totally overdone I do agree that the heart attack route or possibly Cancer might have gone over better. At least no tornadoes were harmed in the making of this movie. I also think that it was an excellent movie and this is from a lifelong Superman fan.
I actually think Man of Steel is the best DCEU movie so far. Zod was a great villain and a lot of the complaints about the film were exaggerated and misrepresented in my opinion.
I think the DCEU will be fine. Aquaman and Shazam are looking promising and Wonder Woman seems to be in good hands.
It definitely should have done better and been better. I don't hate it though.
The DCEU is not irreparably broke. Furthermore, there is no need for any of these films to top Infinity War to be successful.
I really wouldn't mind seeing what he had planned for it. It should have been done completely by him or completely by Whedon. Trying to mix the two just didn't work.
