Yikes, Rajh, Niko! Can't there be a discussion without name calling? I haven't read the book period and am wondering about it now. Did you like the book better than the movie....err I guess I'm asking which story did you like better since they seem to be so different! I thought it was interesting how the world was described as a hungry, chewing monster who is going to devour your children and then toward the end of the story the house was described the same way. To me there seems to be a general theme of how does one protect one's children? With this family and the Hill family, it was more dangerous "inside the walls" than out. Wm. Hill discovered the same thing as he tried to seal himself in his bricked walls.
