Was a while since I watched the movie, how did it show that Mother caused the extinction? Hard to screw up as in not making enough profit. Well, is she good at soccer? :p There wasn't any comedy in Ghostbusters 2016 and it was supposed to be a comedy. This movie is supposed to be an action movie and it seemingly has a lot of action. Hard to screw that up. Even Captain Marvel, which apparently wasn't for males, brought in a lot of money. It took me out of the movie cause I immediately thought of the person (or persons?) that he accidentally hit and killed with his car IRL, which seemed similar to what the main character in this movie did, accidentally killing. I just watched this and not only did the main character really annoy me but I couldn't understand the point of the movie. This explanation makes it all make sense though, so thank you for this! If I had known how depressing the movie was I probably wouldn't have watched it. Wouldn't be much of a movie if they had thrown sense into it. I guess the filmmakers made the wound look bigger because they wanted it to be more dramatic. They needed the two bullets to have a size difference, but couldn't make the big bullet any bigger. Perhaps she used a weaker gun with smaller bullets to shoot herself as she only wanted to be wounded and not too close to dying. The robot she wanted dead so she used a proper gun for that. I reckon the human consciousness will be able to be uploaded into computers by the time that earth is no longer suitable for humans and their stupid bodies. Happens at 50:33 Mother was torturing the woman about the non existing mines because she needed to keep the woman's crazy going. Mother kicked her out all those years ago because she was inferior, she didn't want her staying at the base. She needed the woman to test the girl's loyalty to the base and babies. Mother put the homing beacon on the woman just in case the woman wasn't stupid enough to return to her old home. She was watching TV-shows when she was little in the base, they easily could have been a mix of faces from guests she remembered and made up very detailed lifes for as she was lonely and bored on the outside. What would be the purpose of going into space if the new and improved humans now start taking good care of Earth? Perhaps Skynet is running those robots and the purpose of the base is to make super humans loyal to machines, and later to be used for infiltrating the John Connor group. :p Seems that there was a limited (although sizeable) supply of embryos but not 20000 years worth. There weren't any mines or other humans. The older woman was kicked out of the base when she was little and lived in the shipping container down at the beach until she decided she wanted some company and tricked her way back into the base. She said herself that she had watched The Tonight Show a long time ago (or whatever the name was) that the younger girl always watched. Here's some of the things that's wrong with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9XhlEvYVCM I can almost guarantee you will like the first and not the other two.
