Marty is literally looking at his watch on the movie poster. It could have been a plot point that wasn't explored more than the opening scene. My only best guess is it's somehow tied in with the first time Doc sends the DeLorean into the future with Einstein on board. Exactly 1 minute into the future, and they make a big point to show us both clocks are exactly 1 minute apart when the DeLorean returns. Or maybe it was just a silly scene to get the audience to make sure we focus on clocks for the whole movie, which makes sense in that way, as there are copius amounts of clocks and alarms throughout. My best friend loved this remake, even said he liked it better than the original. McGregor was absolutley atrocious, I hope he never acts again. This movie overall was a terrible and unecessary remake. I've been considering if this was better or worse than the Red Dawn or Point Break remakes. Certainly on the same level. I wanted to like this one too, because I like Jake, so it wasn't like I was close minded from the start. IIRC the battle ends and the native army leaves Van Damme as the last survivor of the fort, with JCVD just kind of gazing at them? What is abrubt about it to you? I'm not arguing, just wondering. Do you think there should have been more battle sequence? I'd say this, in a very cliche way, that the film doesn't overstay its welcome. In a different timeline, The Star Wars original trilogy would be absolutely legendary had they not been messed with, and no other Star Wars movies had ever been made after Return of the Jedi. The fact is, each and every other Star Wars movie beyond 1983 lessens and cheapens the series. The franchise is oversaturated and the original trilogy is just buried in the rubble of what could have been. I know, she was ridiculous wasn't she? The left finally said 'fuck it' and pushed the red button. looks like 'people' are making shacks out of corrugated sheet metal, just like they do in Haiti and the shit stink parts of Puerto Rico.
