Spartacus has to live or else there is no movie and he gets by injury free. It is possible Draba healed him miraculously. John Coffey had that gift and so did Mr Miyagi.

Knowing that a baby was the result of a rape from an English lord it is hard to imagine the young husband and wife just bringing up the child normally. So would they kill the child at birth or try to abort the pregnancy?

There is no other reason. Ferrer's character does ponder the possibility that this blonde guy in Arab garb might be the great Aurens but dismisses the idea as too spectacularly lucky. Lawrence did answer in the affirmative when asked if he was Circassian and his Arabic was excellent by then. So what military value did he have?
