I actually liked him as Kirk’s dad in the first Star Trek reboot. His performance was spot on. He’s not bad as the jock in The Cabin in the Woods either.
Half the title says Mad Max you idiot. It’s not discussed at all in this article the fact that Max is not in it which is the main reason it’s bombing.
The real problem which they don’t mention is that it’s a Mad Max movie without the Max character. No one is interested in this. It’s like a James Bond movie without Bond in it, perhaps some backstory on his secretary Penny.

My gripe is that it’s set in an Australian rainforest with kangaroos, wallabies and wombats but there are no Aussie accents anywhere.
