Yeah, being gay is no longer “hot.” Every movie now needs to have a man dressed in woman-face. Actual human rights issues be damned.

I agree with you. I’m working through a bunch of these “Apocalyptic Realism” films and so far, Testament has been the only one that did nothing for me emotionally. The acting was terrible, and I found the dad super annoying so the whining about him and the home vids of the family of flat badly acted characters were a drag to sit though.
