Trump was acquitted, which means he wasnt impeached.

yes, he was impeached by the house of representatives, past tense.
and then not impeached by the senate, present tense.
I get it that you want Trump to be impeached but I am just going by what the law saysan impeached president cant remain in office. I got that straight from the .gov site, you can go to them and try to get the terminology changed if you want to.

I know its not complicated. your link is helpful for all those people who think that Trump or Clinton is still impeached. (present tense)
A simple majority in the House is all that’s needed to formally impeach a president. But that doesn’t mean he or she is out of a job. The final stage is the Senate impeachment trial. Only if two-thirds of the Senate find the president guilty of the crimes laid out in the articles of impeachment is the POTUS removed from office.
