shareNaming schools and building statues are about honoring people. The statues of confederate generals were built to intimidate people - as was lynching. That's the only tie between the two. The intimidaters shouldn't be honored. Those who tell the truth about those intimidaters should be honored.

Someone requested the book for a 7th grade class and it was determined to be inappropriate for the grade level. Not sure I agree but it's not my school. To my knowledge, the book is not censored or banned.
