Turner Classic Movies - TCM

It's a great channel for movies, non-stop. When I mention this to people in real life, they think "old movies" but they play a lot of newer movies, foreign movies (Fassbinder), they'll have some real far out movies. Also, they no longer edit anything - they'll show nudity, cursing, and they play some pretty far-out movies... They have a ton of themes that everyone in here would like... They also play a lot of movies that are out of print, some that haven't been distributed, some things I could never find online, thrift shops.

Do you guys watch this channel? For those outside of the US, you can watch movies online, and then if it's still a problem, you can always get an IP program.

MortSahl Fan, this is my absolute favorite channel. I watch something on TCM at least three times a week. I'm sad that Robert Osborne is gone but Ben Mankiewicz is terrific. I wish they would do longer introductions though. I love hearing the trivia about the movie I'm about to watch. They do show a lot of foreign films and it's made me appreciate the lesser shown Japanese films I've missed. It's the best channel, in my opinion.

Great channel. Watch it almost daily

Yes I do watch this channel. I think it is one of the best channels on cable, and they are succeeding at keeping the golden age of cinema alive. Some of my favorite programs they show on there other than the movies are the documentaries.

This is one of the few channels where I will check the program listings regularly. The movies are shown as they were intended to be seen: no commercials, no tampering with the aspect ratio or time-compression.

I wish there was a similar channel that did the same with older TV programs. Anytime a TV show is rerun on a cable/satellite channel it is edited, time-compressed or altered in some way. Some of the hour-long dramas are missing almost ten minutes of material.

I heard MortSahlFan got into a big scrap with BillHicksFan. BillHicksFan kicked his ass to the ground, which is why he his no longer with us.

Regularly. Especially Noir Alley with Eddie Muller.

I used to watch TCM a lot, and I liked it a great deal.
However, several years ago Comcast removed it from the cable package that I have.
The only way to see it now is to pay an additional fee like I have to in order to watch HBO, Showtime, etc.
So to sum it up in two words, COMCAST SUCKS!!!
