Greatest Comedy Movie ever...

there are dozens of greats...share a title and your reasoning...and be nice...goodness you are a punchy bunch;)
I say 'Spinal Tap'
1. Who the hell doesnt love satire
2. I LOVE METAL FOREVER!!! but it is all pretty ridiculous:/
3. Fran Drescher in a hilarious role (i admire this lady a bunch!)
4. The actual music led to cult status for a band that never was:)))
5. I admired the little moments (herpes sores during interviews, tasteless album covers...)
This may be my fave comedy...enlighten me MC'ers!

"Don't Look Now... We're Being Shot At."

It's a war film that is quite hysterical. The gags are at times genius and ridiculous. They blend the adventure and comedy nicely. It's a mix of "Top Secret!" and "The Russians are Coming, the Russians are Coming."

reply

Ive never heard of but Top Secret was a great silly time!

Animal House for me. A timeless film I never tire of. Spinal Tap is definitely in my top 10. 1st Austin Powers. Happy Gilmore. The Naked Gun. Tommy Boy. Wayne's World. Loaded Weapon 1. Hot Shots Part Deux.

Some fine ones there
Naked Gun was ridiculous, goofy, dumb and tear inducingly funny!!
Leslie Nielsen was a treasure

Any "Coming To America" fans?

The barbershop scenes and church scene with Mr. Randy Watson and his band always crack me up.

Cops And Robbersons

"San Marino Mayor Caught"

The original Pink Panther is up there for me. Peter Sellers was a comedic genius in my opinion. Some Like It Hot is another great one. There's also this movie from the early 1960's with Jane Fonda called Period of Adjustment. I caught it on TCM one day and thought it was hilarious. :)

Legendary!
My dad loved them so i grew up on them
I loved when Cato would attack him and they demolished the place

reply

Yes, me too! I loved how Clouseau would tell Cato to attack him at random times so he'd stay vigilant, and then Cato would attack at the worst possible moments, haha.

reply

Im going to youtube those scenes (if theyre on there)
Try to do the same if you wish...it would be fun to trade thoughts on the best bits😀
Always a pleasure Lovely!
