"The Count of Monte Cristo" and "Once An Eagle." Despite being doorstops these books are miraculously entertaining from start to finish. Dumas and the lesser-known Myrer were true story-telling geniuses.

Too many to choose from.
I love Jane Austen for romance, and I'll throw in Gone with the Wind for the love story.

Harry Potter for re readability.

All time favs, Secret World of Og by Pierre Burton, Anne of Green Gables by LM Montgomery, The Shining by Stephen King, The House of Sixty Fathers by Meindert DeJong, and Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie.

Recent books that have stuck with me, Cicada Springs by Christian Galacar, 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out... by Jonas Jonasson, and the Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson.
